My entry for the CGDC Speedgame Classic 2023. Theme is based on Psalm 27:1-2. Now updated with some simple QoL features!
- Adjusted enemy gold drop so now you can get more gold to buy items and such!
- Added another enemy type
- Tweaked enemy stats slightly
- Added two new zones, the western cave and eastern cave
- Two new "ultra" items.
You can recruit some party members, explore the map, and fight monsters. There is still no win state, but if you're able to fight and defeat the enemy in the bottom left of the map, you can consider that a win.

Got it running, cute game! I love the old school feel. Its really easy to move around. Though is there a spot to heal without buying a potion? Two of my characters are dying and it took a lot to save up the 100 gold.... :'(
Sadly I didn't get to implement that! However, once I'm back from vacation in about 9 days, I want to pick this back up and properly finish it. I'll keep in touch!

Which file do I open to try the game?
So when you unzip the folder, go into the main folder called CGDCSpeedgame2023 and look for the file that says "Game."
I must have had an incomplete download. Its there now ty!
